I recently went to the zoo with my daughter and grandson. We went on Thursday and that happened to be free admission day. The zoo is great for small children. My grandson is 2+ and he really enjoy it as did the adults. He loved the train. The zoo is just the right size for smaller kids. The playground was great too. All in all a very fun day.
